Our story
A momo house in a red-brick house
The Guchha Mo:Mo and Cafe: a busy lane in Kathmandu, our name across the front, a small brick dining room and a rooftop over the temple roofs.

THE HOUSE
Find the white sign
Look for the white sign with our round yellow logo across the red-brick front. Inside is a small dining room of brick walls, wooden tables and stools; upstairs, the window where we wave down to the lane; on top, a roof where a bowl of jhol momo comes with a view of the old city's temple roofs.
THE STALL
And under the red neon
When Kathmandu holds a food fair, we take the momos out: a red tent, a GUCHHA MOMO neon sign, a big steaming pot and the crew in black Guchha t-shirts.
WHY ONE BITE
Named after a marble
A guchha is a marble, the kind children flick across a courtyard. A guchha momo is about that size, small enough to go in whole, so nothing of it is lost: the skin, the filling and the juice all at once, with the achar. That is the momo we are named for, and the first on our menu.
